STORIES FROM THE FARM
If you could go back to 1996, what would you plant?

You wake up in 1996 with a few memories of the future. What do you do first? In StockPets, a second life starts with one little seed, not a grand plan.
A small farm and 10,000 virtual coins
Your first possessions are simple: a little farm, a new companion and 10,000 virtual coins. In the seed shop, US company names wait to become part of your story. A familiar name feels like an old acquaintance; an unfamiliar one invites a little curiosity.
You do not have to decide everything at once. Choose a seed, feed your pet and turn the calendar. Instead of a complicated trading screen, your farm tells the next chapter through small, visible changes.
When a company becomes a crop
Historical US stock price changes shape the crops in StockPets. A movement that once appeared as a number can become a sprout, a fruit or a wilting leaf. Some crops flourish while others ask for patience.
Recognizing a famous company does not make every month easy. The interesting space is between “I remember what happens later” and “Should I harvest this month?” Knowing the broad story is different from living through it one month at a time.

Harvest now, or wait another month?
A harvest opens up choices. You might plant something else or expand your farm with virtual coins. If you decide to wait, the next turn of the calendar becomes a little more intriguing.
Rather than chasing a perfect answer, notice the shape of your decisions. Which company did you follow the longest? When did you feel impatient? Which harvest stayed with you? The same starting point can lead to different farm stories.
A little room moves through time
The farm is not the only thing that changes. A room that begins in the radio era gradually meets computers and smartphones. Your companion grows alongside a changing world, and memories accumulate along the way.
Turning the calendar reveals new prices, but it also opens another chapter of your little home. Checking on the crops and taking one more look at your pet gives the journey its unhurried rhythm.
Enjoy the choices without real-money trades
No brokerage account, deposits or real stock purchases are involved. Coins stay inside the game and cannot be exchanged for cash.
This is not a complete reproduction of investing. Dividends, taxes and acquisition payments are not simulated. Delisting and the end of a company’s price record follow different game rules. After the archive ends, the journey continues through the game’s own rules. Historical prices are not a forecast.
What will your first seed be?
You do not need a plan for a spectacular harvest. Start with one company you know, or one you are curious about. The first 12 months can be advanced freely, so there is room to find your rhythm.
StockPets is available for free on iPhone and Android. Plant a little seed and see what your version of 1996 becomes.
StockPets is a game that uses virtual coins only. Nothing on this page is investment advice, and past price changes do not predict future results.
